February 14th is National Cardiology Technologist Day!

OPSEU local 101 is proud to celebrate National Cardiology Technologist Day on February 14th!

Cardiology Technologist Day is celebrated annually on February 14th to highlight the important role of the profession in the diagnosis and treatment of heart arrhythmias and heart disease. Cardiology technologists perform a variety of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests. These include performing and interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter Monitors (monitors for arrhythmias), exercise stress testing and blood pressure monitoring as well as assisting with pacemaker programming and cardiac device monitoring.

February is Therapeutic Recreation Month!

OPSEU local 101 is proud to celebrate National Therapeutic Recreation Month during the month of February!

 

Recreation Therapists are allied health professionals who work in a variety of health care settings. Recreation Therapists use recreation, leisure, and play as treatment modalities to support purposeful and meaningful interventions that are based on individual strengths and values, and are guided by assessments.
