It’s time to celebrate the pharmacy community and the role pharmacists play, day in and day out! That’s why this March Pharmacy Awareness Month, the annual national campaign that shines a spotlight on all things pharmacy, is moving from ‘awareness’ to ‘appreciation’ to better reflect and celebrate the extraordinary role pharmacists play in health care, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

March is Child Life Month!

OPSEU local 101 is proud to celebrate the profession of Child Life during the Month of March.

The Child Life Profession: A Unique Way to Work with Children – UConn  Center for Career Development

Child Life Specialists help children and families cope with the stressors associated with hospitalization. They use various teaching resources to help prepare patients for procedures, teach kids coping and distraction techniques and provide developmental and expressive play opportunities.
