Pharmacy Technician Wage Adjustment Update

Good news… we are one step closer to getting the wage adjustment for the Pharmacy Tech’s.  The Arbitrator sided with the Union (OPSEU Central) that there has been a substantial change to the job content of Pharmacy Tech’s and now the parties have been tasked with negotiating the new wage rate Centrally. Once Central has a new wage rate we will be able to seek that for our Pharmacy Tech’s in the next round of bargaining.

We are pleased to announce that OPSEU 101 Members of Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare have ratified their contract.

Update on OPSEU 101/HDGH Ratification Vote

Good evening,

We have received some feedback from a number of members about being on vacation and out of town on Monday July 16/18.  As a result we have added a sixth option.

Early vote on Friday July 13/18.  We will have ballot boxes and the ability to answer questions at the OPSEU office from 11:30am – 4:00pm.  Come during you lunch. 

    

Due to some members requesting an information session re: the ratification vote we have added another session for Information Session/Voting this will take place at the OPSEU office:

Monday July 16/18 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.  Ballot boxes will be closed at 7:30.  The rest of the schedule will not change as posted below.

OPSEU 101 HDGH Tentative Agreement

The Opseu Local 101 Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare negotiating committee has reached a tentative agreement with HDGH.

Contract information details will be posted the week July 9th.  As well information, dates and locations for ratification will be released at that time.  Ratification is anticipated to be  scheduled for July 16th.  Thanks to our negotiator and the bargaining team for their hard work.  This agreement has to be ratified by the membership as well as the HDGH Board.

WRH Negotiation Update

Hello OPSEU L.101 Members,

The Negotiating team wanted to update everyone that we have met several times with the Employer working toward a new collective agreement.  (The current Collective Agreement expired March 31,2016.)

We are meeting with the Employer again in April and will continue to provide updates as to our progress.

OPSEU Local 101 Negotiations Update (Windsor Regional Hospital)

Contract negotiations continue for OPSEU L. 101 members (Employer-Windsor Regional Hospital). 

The negotiating team last met July 13th and 14th

Progress is slow even with a Conciliator involved.

Please keep in mind this is building a new contract for everyone not just “tweaking “ an existing contract.

 The team has had aNo Board Reportissued by the Conciliator which is required to allow the arbitration process to begin.

We can continue to negotiate even through the process of securing an Arbitrator.

 

Negotiations continue with the Employer and our next scheduled negotiation dates are Sept 14th and 16th .

Those dates will be followed by further meetings Sept 29th and 30th which are scheduled with the Conciliator, the Employer and the Union.

Bargaining Updates for HDGH and WRH

The OPSEU 101 Negotiating Teams for both Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare and Windsor Regional Hospital have been working diligently to bargain  new collective agreements. The Teams have provided the following updates.

Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare

The Union and the Employer have settled numerous issues but there are a few outstanding issues that are at an impasse.

The Team has had two meetings with a Conciliator and are now preparing for and proceeding to Arbitration.

Windsor Regional Hospital

The Negotiating Team has had several days of bargaining with the Employer.  Good progress is being made in building our new collective agreement.  The Team has met with a Conciliator and the Employer twice in April.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 17th. (A conciliation date was scheduled in May but the Employer cancelled.)

The Conciliator is a necessary part of negotiations in the event that the process needs to proceed to  arbitration.
