June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. It’s a time to honour the stories, achievements and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and bring awareness to the issues Indigenous communities continue to face. June 21st will be National Indigenous People’s Day, celebrated annually on the summer solstice. Art Windsor Essex has some exciting and free events planned for June 21-24.
